Melba House is a welcoming bed and breakfast hotel which overlooks a cricket pitch.
It boasts its own private car park, all rooms are en-suite, and the entire hotel has been refurbished in the last 12 months. The railway station is a level 10 minute walk, (but we can collect you by car). One of the best located hotels in Torquay only 350 yards from the sea front, and 200 yards from the Conference Centre. Free secure WiFi internet access is available throughout the hotel. All our rooms have LCD flat screen multichannel televisions, and we use local ingredients in our scrumptious breakfasts. The hotel has no family rooms and is not suitable for young children. We do not accept staghenwedding partiesunder18,s. All major credit cards accepted, unfortunately we do not accept American Express.
By Car (from Newton Abbot):
- Continue straight on towards Torquay.
- At the last set of traffic lights, which fork into Newton Road and Avenue Road by Torre railway station (you will also see Halfords store in front of you), take the right-hand lane into Avenue Road (following the signs for the seafront and the harbour).
- Carry on through the next set of traffic lights and Bampfylde Road is the next turning on the left.
- Continue straight on towards Torquay.
- At the last set of traffic lights, which fork into Newton Road and Avenue Road by Torre railway station (you will also see Halfords store in front of you), take the right-hand lane into Avenue Road (following the signs for the seafront and the harbour).
- Carry on through the next set of traffic lights and Bampfylde Road is the next turning on the left.

A Quiet Single Room at the Rear of the Hotel (Room 7)
Quietly situated towards the back of the hotel, this room is comfortably furnished.
