The Haytor Hotel is an elegant Victorian hotel set in its own mature gardens, all rooms having undergone total refurbishment in 2008.
The hotel is ideally located, being only 300 metres from the Torquay''s harbour and only a short walk from the award-winning Meadfoot Beach. With ample parking in the level car park, you can leave your car behind and explore Torquay at your leisure. The hotel aims to provide stylish, clean and comfortable accommodation, together with new twenty first century facilities such as digital TV in all rooms and free internet access (either via a wireless WiFi connection to your laptop or by using our dedicated guest terminal in the bar lounge). Ample full English or room service continental breakfasts are included. The hotel is non-smoking and does not have facilities to cater for children under twelve. Please also note that there is a minimum stay of two nights most weekends.
When approaching Torquay from the M5/A380, follow signs for the Seafront/Harbour. When you arrive at the seafront, turn left with the sea on your right. Drive along the seafront past the Princess Theatre. Turn left at the first roundabout and follow the road round to the right past the harbour. At the next roundabout (with the Clocktower) turn left, following the signs for Meadfoot. After 100 metres turn right at the traffic lights and follow Meadfoot Road for another 200 metres. The Haytor Hotel will be on your right. When approaching from Cornwall and Plymouth, first follow the A385 to Paignton then the A3022 to Torquay harbour before following the above instructions from the Clocktower roundabout. If you decide to take the coastal road via Teignmouth, follow the A379 towards Torquay Harbour (NOT towards the town centre) and when you pass the Bowling Alley, turn left at the next set of traffic lights. Follow Meadfoot Road (behind the former church) and the hotel will be on your right.

Double Room (En Suite with Bath)

A beautifully presented room, refurbished in 2008 to a very high standard. These rooms are located on the second floor and come equipped with the latest flat-screen digital TV with Freeview channels including radio stations. Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities to each room.

Double Room (En Suite with Shower)

These rooms are located on the ground, first and second floors. All rooms have been refurbished in 2008 to a very high standard and are equipped with the latest flat-screen TVs, with Freeview channels. Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities are in every room.

Four-Poster Room (En Suite with Shower)

This is a romantic room, spotlessly clean and refurbished in 2008 to an exceptionally high standard.<BR><BR>The Queen Anne four-poster bed is hand-carved in solid mahogany.<BR><BR>The bathroom features a heated towel rail and double-sized shower with complimentary luxury Clarins toiletries.<BR><BR>Situated on the first floor, the room is equipped with the latest flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, including radio stations. The room also includes complimentary tea/coffee making facilities and bottled Hildon water.

Small Double Room (En Suite with Shower)

These rooms are spotlessly clean and were refurbished in 2008 to a very high standard. Situated on the second floor and equipped with the latest digital TV with Freeview channels with radio stations. Some of them have views over Torquay, including limited sea views. Please note that, particularly off-season, we often upgrade single guests to double rooms - which may not have views.

Superior King-Size Room (En Suite with Bath/Shower)

All rooms are spotlessly clean and were refurbished to a very high standard in 2008. Situated on the first floor, they are larger than the double rooms. These rooms look out over the hotel's gardens and neighbouring villas. <BR><BR>Bathrooms have a bath with overhead shower and come complete with complimentary luxury Clarins toiletries. <BR><BR>All rooms are equipped with the latest flat-screen digital TV with Freeview channels, including radio stations. There is also complimentary bottled Hildon water.

Double Plus Room (En Suite with Shower/Bath)

This room is beautifully presented and was refurbished to a very high standard in 2008. It has a sleigh bed and complimentary luxury Clarins toiletries, and the bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. <BR><BR>The room has the latest flat-screen digital TV with Freeview channels and digital radio stations. Bottled Hildon water is provided. The luxury room has views over Torquay and the hotel's gardens.

Superior Twin Room (En Suite with Shower)

All rooms are spotlessly clean and were refurbished to a very high standard in 2008. They are situated on the ground floor and first floor, and are larger than the double rooms. <BR><BR>The rooms look out over the hotel gardens and neighbouring villas. <BR><BR>Bathrooms have either a bath or bath/shower and come complete with Clarins toiletries. <BR><BR>All rooms are equipped with the latest flat-screen digital TV with Freeview channels, including radio stations. There is also free bottled Hildon water.

Premier King-Size Room (with bath and/or shower)

These rooms were totally refurbished to a very high standard in 2008 and are the largest rooms in the hotel. There are 3 rooms of this type, and each one is individually designed. The rooms are located on the ground floor and first floor. <BR><BR>The newly installed bathrooms come complete with Clarins toiletries.<BR><BR>These rooms have the latest flat-screen digital TV with Freeview channels and digital radio stations. There is also free bottled Hildon water.
