Set in an impressive early Victorian villa, Ascot House is a family-run hotel which has recently been acquired by Bernard, a French expatriate.
He is partnered by Janice, who is English. Ascot House Hotel, which is being fully refurbished into a small boutique hotel, has free, private, off-road parking and is most conveniently situated within a few minutes walking distance of Torquays Casino, Town Hall, Town Centre and shops, sea front, marina and the Riviera Conference Centre. All rooms have en-suite facilities or private bathrooms, hospitality trays, wall-mounted LCD TVs, free wifi and, reflecting Bernard and Janices respective nationalities, are furnished in either a French period style or with traditional Victorian furniture. Children are most welcome at Ascot House (generally at not extra cost) and a cot, childs bed and high chair are available on request. The Anglo-French theme has also been extended to our extensive breakfast menu which includes fresh fruit, continental baked goods and home made preserves - in addition to our cooked-to-order traditional English breakfast using quality local produce all served in our sunny, spacious dining room! Directions
Making your way to the M5 South bound, passing the Bristol exit, you will see the signs for the South West and the A38. Follow these all the way to Torquay. Upon entering Torquay you will see a set of traffic lights by Torre Train Station. Take the right hand lane and follow the road (Avenue Road) down the hill. Cross one set of traffic lights and turn sharp left at the second, into Faklands Road. Cross another set of traffic lights and Falklands Road becomes Lucius Street, which itself becomes Tor Church Road, where we are, on the left hand side of the road, opposite the Seascape Hotel.If you have a GPS system like a Tom Tom or a Garmin, our postcode will take you straight to us (TQ2 5UR).If travelling by train, we will pick you up from Torquay station.
