For the visitor who wants to just relax and enjoy a good meal, the choice is huge catering for all tastes and budgets. The roads in and around the harbour offers a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and bars.
By Car
- On reaching Torquay, follow signs for the sea front and harbour.
- Turn left at the sea, drive past the Princess Theatre, bearing left at the small roundabout.
- At the next roundabout (Clocktower roundabout by Debenhams) turn left into Torwood Street, which becomes Babbacombe Road (A379) after 100 yards.
- Hotel Barton is on the left-hand side opposite Torwood Gardens, around 300 yards from the harbour.

Limited parking is available to the rear of the hotel (access from Museum Road). Additional parking is available in the local pay and display car park (150 m). Free passes are available for guests at weekends and throughout the summer season. There is also free on-street parking, between 16:00 and 10:00 in front of the hotel.
