Crown Lodge provides highly recommended B&B accommodation less than one mile from Torquay's centre and harbour area, where there are cafes, restaurants and bars. The well-presented property has recently been refurbished. Crown Lodge is of a 4-star standard, verified by awards given by Visit Britain and the AA. New beds, quality soft furnishings and flat screen DVD/TVs are just some of the comforts provided ensuring your stay is relaxing and enjoyable. Crown Lodge is wheelchair accessible and two of the rooms are suitable for disabled guests (see the Hotel Information section for more details).
The hotel is extremely proud to be classed as a disabled friendly hotel. Crown Lodge has been classified as M3i (suitable for independent wheelchair users) under the National Accessible Scheme. The hotel's entrance has ramp access and, once inside, there are no steps to the dining room or to either of the two ground floor rooms. The ground floor twin room is most suited to guests with restricted walking ability or reduced mobility, as well as those who simply have difficulty with stairs or who would benefit from some support when using the en suite facilities. The en suite shower room is a wet room with conveniently positioned grab bars and a shower seat. However, the ground floor double room has been designed specifically with disabled guests and wheelchair users in mind. The room has been furnished to a high standard, and has an Adjustamatic double bed. The en suite wet room is spacious and fully accessible for wheelchair users. A shower seat and several grab rails are provided to aid mobility. The following items are available on loan, free of charge, if required: manual/self-propelled wheelchair, tri-walker, shower wheelchair, bed guard, bed raisers, toilet seat raisers, cushion for shower seat and intercom system.
By Car (from the M5 motorway and Exeter):
- At the end of the M5 motorway, continue onto the A38.
- After approximately 3 miles (5 km), fork left onto the A380, following the signs towards Torquay.
- Stay on the A380 through the outskirts of Newton Abbott and through the village of Kingskerswell, until you reach the roundabout at the start of the A3022, after approximately 12.5 miles (20 km).
- Follow the A3022, Riviera Way, straight on, through all of the traffic lights, for approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 km), until you can see Torre train station and the Halfords shop on the right.
- Move into the right-hand lane for the approaching set of traffic lights.
- Fork right (following the signs for Paignton, Brixham and the seafront). This is Avenue Road. Crown Lodge is on the left-hand side, about 220 yards (200 metres) further down this road.

Twin Room

This is a delightful ground floor room, furnished with 2 single beds. Co-ordinated bedding, cushions and throws lend a modern, stylish home-from-home feeling. The room is enhanced by a newly refurbished en suite wet room. <BR><BR>Please note that the wet room is not wheelchair accessible.<BR><BR>Please note that no extra beds are available in this room.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, this spacious double room has dual aspect windows, a very comfortable new double bed, a sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV/DVD combi and quality soft furnishings.<BR><BR>The sofa in this room is a sofa bed that can be dressed as an extra bed (single), at a supplement (please indicate when booking, if required).

Superior Double Room (5)

Refurbished in 2008 to include a flat-screen TV (with DVD player) and a quality bed for a comfortable night’s stay.<BR><BR>Cushions and throws have been added to the neutral colour scheme to give a stylish, homely feel.<BR><BR>Please note that no extra beds are available in this room.

Deluxe Double Room (Ground Floor)

This spacious ground-floor room has a large bay window, a marble fireplace, an Adjustamatic double bed and a flat-screen TV with digital channels and built-in DVD player.<BR><BR>This room is suitable for disabled guests, wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility.
