Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Torquay but close enough to take a walk along the sea front and enjoy the town centre with its shops restaurants theatre and marina. Ideally located to enjoy the local coastal paths or try one of the regular boat trips to Brixham Dartmouth and Greenways the summer home of Agatha Christie. Ten individual rooms to include Superior Sea View rooms double or twin rooms family suites of interconnecting rooms and two garden rooms in which guests may bring a small dog by prior arrangement. All our rooms offer en suite shower rooms many having been recently refurbished with larger showers enclosures. Two of our rooms have bathroom en suites with additional shower enclosure. All rooms also have digital flat screen free view televisions complimentary luxury toiletries and a hospitality tray which is refreshed daily. Award Winning breakfasts offering a continental selection in addition to our traditional English cooked breakfast which includes superior local sausages and bacon. At the end of the M5 continue along the A38A380 towards Plymouth. At the Shell garage where the A38 and A380 fork, take the left-hand lane sign-posted A380 Torquay. Keep on this road for approximately thirteen and a half miles until reaching a large roundabout near to the Coventry Farm Trading Estate. Keep straight on the A3022 towards Torquay, ignoring the A380 ring road, which goes off to the right. Keep straight on the A3022 through three sets of traffic lights. At the fourth set of traffic lights, with CURRYS on the left hand side, continue through two more sets of traffic lights which are close together, at which time the road widens into two lanes, with the outside lane sign-posted Harbour and Seafront. Take this lane and pass through the traffic lights by the Halford Superstore and Tor Station, into Avenue Road. Keep straight on all the way to the seafront and at the seafront turn right towards Paignton. Take the turning on the right hand side, directly after the Livermead Hotel, sign-posted for Cockington. The entrance to The Charterhouse is approximately 75 yards after passing under the railway line.
