Our family rooms are spacious and cots are available if required.Our generous breakfast begins with cereals and fruit, followed by a hearty full english breakfast or a lighter option (including boiled eggs, kippers amongst others), along with toast and tea, coffee and orange juice. Between 6-8pm, we offer a Bar Menu with reasonably priced dishes such as steak and kidney pudding, lasagne, cod and chips or for the smaller appetite, sandwiches, baguettes and jacket potatoes.

The hotel derives its name from the enchanting Ansteys Cove, Torquay, once a smuggler's haven. Ansteys Lea was originally a Victorian gentleman's residence and became a small hotel in 1946. The building’s traditional Victorian ceiling with cornices and roses are a wonderful architectural feature.

The hotel is on the main bus route into Torquay city centre, which takes a matter of minutes. Within 10 minutes’ stroll you can be in Torquay's centre enjoying the Edwardian Pavilion, the lights and the harbour.

All food is freshly prepared and sourced from local producers where ever possible. Just a short walk (200 yards) to the town centre with a wide array of shops, beautiful harbour, sea front and theatres. Beach and harbour is 12 minutes walk. We are 2 minutes drive from the coach station and railway station. There is a free courtesy car pick-up by prior arrangement. We are within easy access of all tourist atttractions and areas of Torquay. All major bus routes and bus stops are within 200 yards. For the well being of our guests we have a STRICT NO SMOKING policy throughout.
